This is the story of how I met Mama and Papa Criss at H2$, and they got me backstage to meet Darren.

Including pics under the cut.

Ok, so. Today. I got a last minute ticket. I went alone this time, without my dad.

I was sitting on the 7th row right by the aisle. A few minutes before the show started, I was still sitting by myself coz I got there kinda early, but then a group of people suddenly arrived together. So, of course I had to get up so they can go to their seats. So I get up, turn around, and see Mama and Papa Criss right behind me.

I was wearing my pink shades.

There was like an awkward two seconds, and then Papa Criss smiled and said something that I honestly can’t remember, and I smiled back and shook his hand.

Then he and Mama Criss sat right in front of me. Like, RIGHT in front of me. Mama Criss turned around and asked me if I was a Starkid fan. I said yes obviously and we started talking. She asked if I’d seen Starship and everything and I was like Yes yes of course. She is the sweetest woman, omg, she’s so precious.

Then I told her that I came from Israel to see the show. She just got up, with a look of shock on her face, and kissed me on the cheek. I could barely breath because omg she was so sweet. She was so touched and SURPRISED and thanked me and everything.

Then she asked if I know her other son, Chuck. ~~I had to hold myself so hard not to fucking die at that moment.~~ I said that I do know him and she mentioned his band ~~(YUP I WAS DYING)~~ and then she told me that one of the guys in the band is from Israel and so we had a little chat about that, which was utterly adorable.

So we talked for a while and then the show started. Half of the time I was looking at them insead of Darren coz they were so adorable, clapping and LAUGHING AT HIS GODDAMN FACES THAT HE MAKES and his Dad was WOOOing and omg it was beautiful. Darren of course was flawless and amazing and what not.

Then at intermission, I rushed to the toilets coz I knew there’s gonna be so many people there, and when I got back, Mama Criss grabbed my hand and asked “What’s your name again?” I told her my name and she asked how to spell it and I was completely confused and my heart was racing. Then she said “I’m going to get you backstage so you can take your picture with him” because I came from afar only to see him and she was all smiling and I was in shock and started thanking her and telling her how wonderful she is and I gave her a hug because holy shit. She said she’s gonna text my name to his assistant manager os SOMETHING and say I’m a friend of the family and all this time she’s holding my hand and I’m barely breathing and she is without any doubt the sweetest, nicest woman to ever walk on this planet.

So the show continued, and I couldn’t even keep focus at that point, my heart was racing so fast. They continued to be adorable and WOOOing and laughing and Darren continued to be flawless.

When the show ended, Mama Criss just grabbed me by the hand and told me to stay with her and follow her. There was a large group of people who I think are friends with his family that all went backstage and somehow they all got to know that Mama Criss is taking a girl that came from Israel to see Darren and that it was all thanks to the fact that I was wearing the pink sunnies that she even started talking to me and omg it was awkward but so wonderful.

SSSOOOO. We go through the stage door and onto the stage. Mama Criss suggested to take a picture of me on the stage to show my friends lol and that was so adorable. I took the picture and then she told me that when they walk in, I’ll just walk in with them. There was a woman there who took my name and everything. We had to wait for a little while, so I was chatting with Mama Criss and she introduced me to a couple of people there omg lol it was ssooooo adorable I can’t even think of another word, it was so sweet and nice of her to even do that omg I love her so much.

Once it was our turn to go in, I didn’t go in first obviously, I walked in after everyone else did, but because of that I was one of the first people to stand in the room lol I was like standing at the front coz I walked in last.

A couple of minutes later, Darren comes out. Wearing his Starkid hoodie.

He walked up to his parents and hugged them and they were so precious. Then he greeted everyone in the room (there were a LOT of people there and it was a tiny room) and turned to talk to the couple who were there in front of me. They were gushing about how good he was and he was thanking them and it was so sweet.

Then he came to me.

And without even me saying anything, he just looks me in the eyes and goes, “Roni?”

I died. I’m guessing that either his parents or the assistant manager or whoever took my name told him who I was. But holy shit it was amazing.

Now, things are a bit blurry for me from that point lol.

I said hi and everything. I told him I liked his Starkid hoodie. He said “Oooh you’re a Starkid fan!”. Then his mom told me to bring my camera to the woman who was there so we can take a picture, and we did.

I was kind of shaking. His cheek was leaning against my head. He was so precious and happy and fskgjfdlgkfdjgldkfjgaldf.

So I thanked him, and then he asked if I have something I want him to sign for me, so I took out my playbill from my bag. He asked how to spell my name and I told him and he was adorable and signed this:

He wrote my name first and then went back to add the Dearest and wrote everything else. I told him “I have so much to thank you for” and he was so precious and thankful that I came to see the show. I told him that last night I was at the stage door and mentioned the Israeli Starkids (I have a vid of that from last night, I might upload it) and he was like Oh, yeah! And he said he has so much to thank us for (us being the Israeli Starkids) and lfkjgadflkgjfdlgkadfjgladkfg.

When he handed me the playbill I asked if I can hug him and he said of course and so we hugged and I died.

He kept saying how he wants and has to come to Israel. I told him that he really should. Then he mentioned his friend from college who is now doing Wicked on Broadway and I told him yeah, Itay! You mentioned him in London! (coz I told his mom I went to London as well to see him perform and she got so excited lol she was like really REALLY happy when I told her that and she told me to tell him I was there so I tried to squeeze it in.) And he said how in college he’d wake up to Itay singing in Hebrew and stuff like that and it was SO FUCKING PERFECT OMG.

Aaaand, there were a lot of people there, so, he thanked me so so much for coming and I told him he was wonderful and then he said something with the words “Until the next time!” and smiled and I think he winked but I’m not sure because I wasn’t breathing but I think he did and he had the biggest smile and it was so precious.

And right before I left, I went to his parents again to thank them and his mom asked if I wanted a picture with them and I said YYYEEESSSSSS and omg they are the nicest people, like, seriously, who would do something like that for a person they’ve only just met?!

So we took the picture and I kept thanking them and I hugged his mom like a million times because it’s all thanks to her and I just love her so much right now because she is just the sweetest.

And then I had to leave, so a woman showed me the way out and I left through the stage door and ran back to the hotel shaking and sobbing.

And. This is it. :) I might have left some parts out, but honestly…

IT. WAS. PERFECT.

Like, WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?! WHAT ARE THE FUCKING CHANCES FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN?!

I still can’t believe ANY of this. I feel like I’m typing out my dream or something.

I am so overwhelmed and thankful and Darren is so amazing and his parents are wonderful and this is the best day of my life and just omg.
