Kurt waits for Blaine to still before he speaks. Blaine’s hunched over the microphone stand, breathing heavily, shaking.
Kurt’s not sure what he just witnessed, but he knows Blaine’s not going to volunteer a context. He stands up. Walks over to Blaine. Wraps his arms around Blaine.
He doesn’t expect Blaine to latch onto him, clutching at his sweater, knees buckling. They end up on the floor, Kurt holding onto Blaine, Blaine crying into Kurt’s shirt.
It takes several minutes for Blaine to calm.
When he does, Kurt pulls back, looks Blaine in the eye.
“You ready to tell me what that really was?”
Blaine takes a deep breath, closes his eyes.
“I’ve been having a hard time,” he whispers, taking the jump.
Asking for Kurt’s help.
